St. George Learning Center
St. George Learning Center is a new learning center for homeschoolers and community parents founded by Jennifer Butler and Sarah Nuss. The learning center will start enrolling students for academy and homeschool co-op programs during the school year 2021-2022, with summer camps, community art and science programs, classes, and events beginning in Spring 2021.
Founded on the Catholic principles of Faith, Goodness, and Beauty, St. George Learning Center strives to inspire students in these ideals through our lessons, interactions, and environment. We are Catholic in our beliefs. However, if you are not Catholic, you are still VERY welcome to join our community!
Our focus is on providing a quality educational experience for all ages, helping students to grow in their skills and abilities, and creating a nurturing atmosphere for all learners.
While we are not explicitly teaching Catholic doctrine in religious classes, we will hold to the TRUTH of Jesus Christ and proclaim Him as Lord in all we do and say.
Please let us know how we can pray for you today.
Our mission is to provide high-quality educational opportunities for all ages. We aim to promote and nurture an environment where all feel loved, respected and encouraged to develop to their fullest potential.
St. George Learning Center is a multi-functional learning center. It serves as a meeting place for the homeschool co-op Catholic Schoolhouse, as well as offering St. George Academy as a supplemental experience for homeschoolers. The Learning Center will also offer private art lessons for children and adults, as well as private music lessons.
St. George Academy uses the Catholic Schoolhouse curriculum schedule as the backbone for our scheduled classes. The classes offered at St. George Academy are created to dive deep into exploring History and Science concepts, as well as strengthen Language and Grammar skills. The Academy offers Literature in a book club format, and students will sharpen their writing skills in our excellent Writing Class.
Our students will also take part in Voices for Life, a program within the Royal School of Church Music, led by Dr. Rebecca Whited and Mikyla Clark.
The Academy takes place on 2 days a week, Wednesday and Thursday (beginning in the fall), from 9:00am-2pm. Children may be dropped off at 8:45 am, and should be picked up no later than 2:15, please.
Parents who wish to stay on campus are always welcome.
After the Academy, Private Classes will be offered in the Arts. Please see our page about our Programs for more information on what classes will be offered.
As well as offering academic classes, St. George is pleased to also offer opportunities for community service. We will have service projects throughout the year, and will always be available to receive food and items donations to St. Vincent De Paul's as well as maternity and baby items for Pro-life ministries.
